Back to the grind...but with a happy heart!!!

Well I have been on vacation the past 10 days!!!!!!!!!! It has been absolutely wonderful!! I wanted to be able to take off for Rylen's birthday but it turned out I had vacation time I needed to take so I got a whole 10 whopping days off!!!! Tomorrow I go back to work which is a little bitter sweet. I love love my job but I got a little taste of stay at home Mommy and I really liked it too!!! I think staying at home with Rylen will be something I pray about. I would love to have more one on one time with her but as of right now I will work. Thank God I have the best job in the world ;)

Well me and Miss Ry Ry had a ton of fun during my stay home!! We cooked, we cleaned, we shopped, but most of all we played, we snuggled, and we played some more! She is such a blessing!!! She is forming such a great personality!!

This year was Rylen's 2nd Christmas but since she was in ICU on her 1st I was super excited about all the events of this year!!!

I was a bit worried about this Christmas being the first big holiday Rylen would have to split her time between her Dad and I. If you know me well you know I don't like to share, and that my Christmas traditions are VERY important to me!! Everything went very smooth and Rylen had a HUGE Christmas!!!

We started our Christmas off with going to the Candle light service at our Church. I was hesitant at how Rylen would do so I packed a bag full of toys and snacks....I assumed correct and she was a little pill during the whole service!! Her and my sister have this thing where they squeel at each other when the look at one another.. She kept leaning over and squealing very loud at Temi.. She wouldn't stop and when you tried to make her she got very loud!! I didn't get to enjoy any of the service but that ok.. She finally went to her Aunt Temi and her Great Granny... They fed her a candy cane which is her favorite and when the service was over her white collar matched her red dress!!!

All in all Christmas was great!! We had great family time with everyone!! I love our family so much and wouldn't trade them for the world!!Here are some pictures and a few movie clips of our Christmas!!

Sorry this is posted so late!!! I've been on vacation this week and me and Rylen have been doing a lot of hanging out playing and I couldn't find time for anything else!!! ;)

What an awesome thing these families are doing in honor of Holden Newell Erwin, a sweet little boy who opened his eyes for the first time to Jesus Christ holding him and giving him sweet kisses!!! They are doing such great things throughout all of their heartache. This family is rising above and helping others!! I think we could all learn a few things from them!!

Tears of Joy!!!! (I think)

December has been such a busy busy month. If i'm not working i'm running around getting things ready for Christmas or Rylen's birthday party. I have sent out around 500 christmas cards for the library, sent out about 40 cards for Rylen's birthday and haven't even started sending out our family Christmas cards.

Last thursday we had 267 children come to the Library to visit Santa and get their picture taken. It was such a blessing to me!! Makes me feel like I am doing a good job here at the Library, and we have such a wonderful staff here as well!!!

This week has been preparing for the birthday party, working, and board meetings.......

SHHHEEEEESSSHHH!!!

Last night I guess it all snuck up on me at once!!! I had a small little break down before going to bed.....

My baby girl is about to be 1..... I cannot beleive this!!! Where did the time go??? I feel like between work, everyday life, and trying to find a babysitter that is worth a darn (which i finally did) it has just flown by!!!!

I JUST WANT TIME TO SLOW DOWN A LITTLE..... PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!

OH I know this sounds like a lot of complaining but i'm not meaning to!!!! I love our crazy busy life... It just seems like 2010 flew by!!!

Even though I can't beleive 2011 is here I cannot wait to see what God has in store for us!!! I'm hoping wedding bells might be wringing in my near future ;) Rylen is getting to a really fun stage, and does new things almost everyday!! She has such a big personality!

My cup runneth over!!

This is not how I imagined we would spend our first Christmas with our bundle of joy but it was what God had planned for us.....

And wouldn't you know...our prayers were answered we brought our baby girl homeand have loved every fun filled, crazy, exhausting, hillarious,cute,moment of it!!

I wouldn't trade places with anyone in the world!!!!!

Busy Busy!!

So It has been crazy busy since the last time I posted. I had full intentions of being good with this blog and posting everyday or every other day...... Well we can see how good that went. The holidays are one of the Libraries busy times of year and everything going on at home with family and friends there is just not enough hours in the day.

Well I will give a short update of what has been going on in "Our Life" the past few weeks!!! Thanksgiving came and went in the blink of an eye!! We shared it with Coopers family and then met up with the Harpers in Lubbock!! It has become a tradition for the Harper woman to hit Black Friday hard!!! We woke up at 4am to get all the good deals at Wally world and a few other places!! It was a blast and memories were made!

December snuck up on us!!! I CANNOT beleive we are in December already...... This month means so much more to me now than just Christmas.... My baby girl will be 1 years old!!!!!!! I have enjoyed every single second of this little Angels life and am so so so Thankful to be her Momma!! She has brought me an enormous amount of joy!!! December 21st will mark 365 days of joy!!!
Rylen's first Christmas was spent in Neonatal ICU. With Dr.'s & nurses poking and prodding her, so this Christmas will be more like her first. I am super excited but don't want to get to carried away!! I want her to grow up knowing the true meaning of the season!

December is cram packed with so so many things but once again I am so so so blessed to have the life I have and the friends and family I have to share with!!!!!

Happy Halloween!!!

Last week was cram packed full of Halloween fun, and we took part in almost everysingle event!! It was fun!! I think I had more fun than Rylen did!! She was not a happy camper in that costume. But she looked so darn cute!!!!!

Thursday night Magan and I took Stash ( Coopers sister and nephew) and Rylen to the WTC Fall Festival!! Stash had a good time playing the games and Rylen just watched all the kids running around in costumes!! I didn't make Rylen wear her's that night because I knew she would get a belly full of it in the upcoming days!! Here are a few pics from the fall fest!!

Saturday evening we ate supper with the Wadleighs and then made one very important stop on our trick or treating route!!!

This is Rylen and her Great Great Aunt Trellace!!! I just think it is so neat that Rylen has Great Great Aunts and Uncles!!! Rylen loves Trellaces dog Trixie so we ended up staying for about 2 hours and visitng!! Needless to say we didn't get much trick or treating done that night!!

Sunday evening we went to our churches Trunk or treat and then hit up a few more spots!!!

This is not a happy lion!!! Everytime we put it on her she had herself a little fit!! I felt really bad but she looked so cute!!! I added the bow so you could tell she was a little girl lion!!!

After cramming her in and out of her carseat what seemed to be a million times she got fed up!! Our last stop was Mel and Sheryls and they gave Rylen apple puffs one of her favorites so we called it quits ripped the suit off and let her play!!! She was finally one happy girl!!!

All in all we had a great Halloween!!! I'm glad its over though!!!! These months are flying by and Christmas and someones first birthday will be here before we know it!!!!!

I LOVE MY JOB!!!!

On Thursday's I have a Storytime at the Manhattan Coffee house on the square!! I have a great group of kids that come to read books and sing songs with me!! Today we had our Halloween party and all of the kids came in their costumes!!! We read Halloween books and sang a few songs and then had cupcakes and goodies!!!!! The kid's had a great time!!

I feel so blessed to have my job. When I moved back to Snyder a little over a year ago I didn't know what I was going to do, but as always God had a great plan in store for me. He blessed me with a GREAT job!! I get to use my creativity and craft for the kids which is one of my favorite things to do!! I also get to be out in the public and have made some really great relationships with Mom's and their children!! God put everything in place for me and I am so very thankful for it!!

To busy to be sick!!

I haven't posted in a few days because the YUCKY stomach bug hit our house!! Rylen and I both woke up sick monday morning and we are just now starting to feel like ourselves again! It is NO fun when Momma and Baby are sick at the same time!

This week is Halloween week!! Halloween week means busy busy week at work! I've got parties, parades, and trick or treating going on all at the same time!! Lots of running around and getting things together but also lots of fun!! This year will be Rylen's first halloween and we have a few fun things planned!! I will post more about that later!!

This past weekend we stayed home and just hung out!! Some family came down from Lubbock so we ate at mom and dad's as usuall!! If you know the Harper clan you know that we can make a feast annytime we get together!!

Rylen loves being outside and it was perfect weather for it!! I love fall!! Everything about it especailly the clothes!!!!!

Rylen helped her Great Granny pick out a few holiday cookie and pie recipes to try for Thanksgiving!

Sunday we just relaxed for a while! Did some house cleaning and then I cooked supper and had all of the Wadleighs over to eat!! It was nice to get together with them! They have been working so hard on London Bleu I figured Karen needed a break from cooking!

Rylen helped me cook supper for everyone!!! She is such a big helper!

This time of the year is so hard to decide what you should wear! Its cold in the mornings and by the afternoons it is fairly warm. I haven't packed up all of Rylen's shorts and things just yet because I felt like she could get a few more wears out of them.... But she is growing and things are either getting to short or to tight!! Sunday morning while we were eating breakfast I caught a glimpse of Rylen's feet.......I was mortified...... Had I NOT been paying attention to how I dressed my child???? Or maybe she had a growth spurt over night???? Oh well at least they were jammers and we weren't in a public place!!!!!

10 Months!!

Rylen Lee turned 10 months old yesterday!!!! Wow time has flown by!!

Here is what she has been up to!

About 3 Weeks ago she started crawling!!

It took her a while to stop getting high centered on her belly,

but once she got the hang of it she took off!!

She is everywhere! In the morning while i'm getting dressed and fixing breakfast she follows me around!!

She is clapping her hands which is the cutest thing ever!!

She jabbers all day long! I always wonder what is going threw her head!

She is a very VERY vocal girl! I can only imagine when she starts actually talking!

We aren't going to be able to get her to stop!!

She is a great eater and blueberry yogurt bites are her favorite!

She likes prunes as well which is a good thing since

we have so much trouble with going #2!

During supper time she tries to sneak Booker (the dog) a few bites!

She is a great sleeper and sleeps from 8pm - 8am which is great for Momma!

We have a CD that plays lullabies with her name in them, her Aunt Sheila got it for her.

We listen to it every night before bedtime and she loves it!

She will just lay in my lap and listen!

The past few weeks she has really gotten into entertaining herself!

She has a few stuffed dolls that she holds conversations with and it is so cute!

She loves our cell phones and the remote and pretty much does a full body dive for them anytime she can see them!

I can't beleive how fast she is growing!!

We will be having her 1st birthday party on Dec. 18th!!

I'll be sending invites out next month!!

Hi Friends!!

Well I have decided to enter into the world of blogging!! I figured since I have so much family scattered all over this beautiful country that loves to see pictures of Rylen I needed something better than facebook. Yes I said it "better than facebook" there is just so much you can do on that stinkin thing!! I haven't yet figured out all the things I can do on this but give me time and I will.

So let me update you on what has been going on in our world the past year or so!!!!

December 21 2009 @ 7 pm our lives were changed forever!! Rylen Lee made her debut!! 6LBS 14ounces and a wopping 17inches long!!

We have had so so so much fun with her. When I feel like life couldn't possibly get any worse I take a look at that little girl and she makes it all better.

I have had so much support from my family. Being a single mother comes with all sorts of up and downs and I couldn't have done without every single one of them including Sister, Aunts, Uncles, cousins and Grandparents.

Rylen and I are blessed to have Cooper my boyfriend in our lives!! He is truly a great guy and Rylen can't get enough of him!! I'm pretty fond of the guy myself!! He comes from a great family and they all treat Rylen and I like part of the family. He is a gift from God!!

I am the Children's librarian at the County Library and love love love my job!! Rylen will be 10 months old tomorrow, and Cooper is busy with the Welding business, Garage door business, and helping his parents with London Bleu (I will blog about it later on).

We lead very busy lives but I wouldn't have it any other way!!! God has blessed me in so many ways!!
